JAMIE

Hi my name is Jamie, I run Brightonfit personal training. Health and fitness has always played a huge part in my life and after graduating from university with a degree in ‘something I could fall back on’ I have pursued my passion for sport and all things alike.

My personal sporting interests lie with olympic weight lifting, gymnastics and high intensity fitness training, but I like to combine these with the softer side of sport and regularly can be found participating in Sophie’s yogalates class (see here) and hiking on the South Downs!

I get fantastic results with motivated people particularly for weight loss, strength building or to reach a sports target such as your first 10km run.

I operate one to one sessions from my studio (see here), your home or a local park and I can help you really enjoy sport and getting fit as well as reaching your goals

SOPHIE

Hi my name is Sophie, I have been a personal trainer for 7 years, I hold a degree in Sport Science – I believe there is nothing more satisfying than helping someone become a success.

I specialise in weight lifting and conditioning programs to get the body you have always dreamed of but I also have a passion for educating and training those who really struggle with basics. I run a scheme for Worthing Council designed to help weight management within families; I take a holistic approach and I work with the entire family. We work on small but manageable healthy lifestyle adaptations, healthy eating, and I introduce moderate exercise. The results have been phenomenal and I absolutely love it!!

My personal interests are health and fitness related as you would imagine, I adore weight training and am planning on competing as a fitness model next year partly for me; to get the body I have always dreamed of, but also to motivate those I train and show that you can do anything you want!!!!

MARY

Hi, I’m Mary. I’m a qualified personal trainer and a nutritional advisor. After a short career as a qualified lawyer I decided to pursue a very different avenue – but one that had always been a passion, working as a personal trainer gives me immense satisfaction. I am constantly amazed and surprised by the human body and am always hungry for more knowledge – alongside my work I am studying for a second degree in Health and Nutrition, this will help hugely as the majority of changes that a client can achieve in their training comes down to correct nutrition. My philosophy is to help people develop the skills and knowledge to maintain healthy lifestyles in the long-term through informed food and exercise choices.

I also run after-school HRE and nutrition-related activities and volunteer for Brighton and Hove Food Partnership on their weight management programmes for adults and families and get a huge amount of satisfaction doing this. I play football do aerobics and dance samba & my passion is running, I enter solo marathons and team trail races and I have been a Brighton marathon

BRIGHTONFIT PHYSIOTHERAPIST

ROBIN

Hi my name is Robin, I qualified as physiotherapist from Sheffield Hallam University in 2003 having previously worked in the fitness industry for 7 years.

I have extensive experience working as a Clinical Specialist (ESP) in pain medicine and physiotherapy for the NHS, and in the private sector.

I am a qualified acupuncturist, and non-medical prescriber, allowing me to independently prescribe and review medications. I am also near to completing a Masters degree in Pain Science and Management at Keele University.

I am highly skilled in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, sports injuries and work related injuries. I pride myself on delivering effective treatments that are based on the best scientific evidence to help maximise your recovery.
