We know your journey may have been long to reach this point. We have an experienced, friendly and discrete weight loss team of Brightonfit professionals to help guide and advise you every step of the way in making life long lasting changes.
Our specialist team is made up of Alice (dietitian), Gareth (trainer) and Rob (trainer). They support, motivate, and make the journey from where you are now to the seemingly impossible, as fun as they can!
We spend a while getting to know what makes you tick and how you form habits (so that we can figure out how to undo the bad ones!).
Combining the dietary work you undergo with Alice and the training you get from Gareth and Rob means that you attack your weight loss from all sides (see our combination packages).
This unique approach means we will never ask you to diet or put you through an unsafe training session but instead the team will create a step by step program to work though at a sensible pace and really ensure that each piece is in place for you before moving on, we don’t rush, we do it right, and we get results….above all we like to think we understand how you feel.
All of our studios are private or semi private. We are happy to train any weight loss, post-operative and rehabilitation/musculoskeletal disorder clients.

Hi I’m Alice, an HCPC registered dietitian. I’ve worked in the NHS for 9 years, specialising in gastroenterology (the branch of medicine that looks at digestive disorders). I hold a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and I am an active member of the BDA (The association of UK Dietitians), the BDA Freelance Specialist Group and the BDA Gastroenterology Specialist Group.
I have a passion for great food, and I want to share that with you, we start with an in depth consultation including an analysis of your current food diary. Afterwards I spend some time planning our attack; I try and ensure that the plans I make are sensitive to the time you have available for preparing your meals, your family commitments, food preferences, allergies, budget and time restrictions i.e. completely tailored to you and your lifestyle. I will then send you your weekly or monthly food/meal plans which ensure your diet will be balanced yet varied and accommodate the work the rest of the team will be putting you through in order to reach your goals! We will talk at regular intervals to assess how things are going and see if we need to make any changes.
Hello my name is Gareth and I used to be where you are right now! I tried every fad diet and exercise plan going but it never seemed to work. Finally I decided I needed to take a step back, educate myself and get some help. I was lucky enough to find a wonderful personal trainer who I am still friends with today to help me battle my bulge. Now I see how common my patterns were and that most of my battle was in my mind.
For me the road was long, hard and I fell off the wagon a number of times but with the right support network and knowledge I was able to hop back on and achieve what I never thought possible.
Having re-trained, re-educated and re-wired myself, it is my absolute pleasure and life ambition to offer my personal training services to anyone who needs a little push and motivation and a lot of knowledge and confidence. I very much look forward to meeting you
Hello I’m Rob and I am very proud to be part of this specialist team. I studied Sports Coaching Science at university, from there I trained to become an accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach (UKSCA). I am currently the Youth Athletic Development coach at Eastbourne college in strength and conditioning; this throws into sharp focus teenage eating trends and I dedicate a large chunk of my time to discussions around healthy food choices.
I need to spend time with adults too! so I also work as the head strength and conditioning coach for National One side Esher Rugby and as a Brightonfit specialist personal trainer. I believe education is key so I make sure to keep my CPD up to date and relevant; most recently I have been to a fascinating “Child to Champion Long Term Athletic Development” conference. My personal sporting interests lie in Rugby union and Olympic weight lifting but I do like less energetic pursuits too! I’m very much looking forwards to meeting you or your child.
