BRIGHTONFIT PERSONAL TRAINER

Hi I’m Svata, I am a qualified personal trainer, nutritionist and clinical weight loss practitioner. I have been working in the fitness industry for 14 years and in that time I have been fortunate enough to live and work in many countries. I have blended these experiences to provide a top class personal training service both in terms of what you will receive and through constant self improvement.

My journey started as an 800m athlete where I competed at a high level (European Championship) and which sparked my interest in physical and mental human performance. Sadly after 14 years, the high expectations from coaches was not for me and I decided to pursue a more balanced lifestyle where I can promote what I love about food and fitness in a healthy way.

My unique combination of skills and experience means that I am able to spot body imbalances and correct them to prevent injuries which is particularly important if you are new to exercise or changing the amount of exercise you are doing. Since I am a qualified nutritionist and clinical weight loss practitioner, in addition to our physical sessions I can also offer you healthy dietary advice and suggestions if you wish.

My own training these days is varied; I still run a bit but I really enjoy weight lifting and HIIT sessions. If your focus is increasing lean muscle and anaerobic fitness then I will happily share some of my personal favourites with you (maybe alongside you, if you catch me on a good day!). Nowadays great food plays a big part of my life, plus I still love to travel but my wanderlust is gone since I discovered Brighton.

BRIGHTONFIT PERSONAL TRAINER

Hi I’m Connor, I have been fortunate enough to combine my passion for sports (mine is rugby) with my work. After graduating with a degree in Strength and Conditioning science I worked as a strength coach for the London Irish RFC, London Wasps and England Women’s Rugby, in more recent years I’ve relocated my work to the coast, had a family and decided to take a post as the lead strength and conditioning coach for the Sussex cricket team. I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge and variety that each day brings me.

Whilst working with top class athletes is great, I am acutely aware they are not a reflection of the population at large (myself included!!). Armed with a wealth of knowledge from nutritional requirements to biomechanics, human physiology and anatomy I get equal, if not more, satisfaction from sharing this with my personal training clients. I support and guide them in building a healthy, lean and strong physique to empower, compete, look good, feel great and challenge themselves!

BRIGHTONFIT OWNER

Hi I’m Kirstin, I own Brightonfit and I worked as a personal trainer in Brighton for over 20 years. Whilst you wont see me out in our studio’s training clients these days I will pick the phone up to you or respond to your initial website inquiry, write our blog and am still intrinsically involved in the running of the show!

I am an ‘all rounder’ fitness- wise these days; I like to combine gym work and outdoor training (predominantly mountain biking), although in my 20s and 30s I  was lucky enough to have a long career as a semi professional kickboxer. Midway through that I set up a not for profit boxing club which targeted socially deprived youths in Brighton and Hove; we took referrals from Brighton’s Youth Offending and Social Services.

I specialised in training disabled clients and went on to pursue post graduate and doctoral qualifications in Biomedical Engineering where I am now designing the next generation of bionic limbs for amputees. I find this work is extremely rewarding in a very different way to personal training but oh boy does my body miss being active all day! I now completely understand all the complaints you used to walk into my studio with – my back hurts from sitting, I am battling  postural problems and so the list goes on!

BRIGHTONFIT PERSONAL TRAINER

Hi my name is David, I have a huge passion for all sports but especially rugby. Historically I took things a little more seriously, playing professionally for Yorkshire Carnegie, Ulster rugby, Bristol and Doncaster Knights but after an injury and a chance to reflect I decided I could make the biggest change in the sport helping up and coming players.

I gained an MSc in strength and conditioning and rely heavily on this knowledge to offer a top class personal training service. I also do a few hours for Sussex cricket, working with the youth development scheme (Aldridge academy) and women’s cricket…..and of course I still play rugby!….although not quite at the same level as before.

I get fantastic results with motivated people particularly interested in building strength, fitness or to reach a sports target such as your first 10km run.

I operate one to one sessions from our Brighton and Hove private gyms, your home or a local park and I can help you really enjoy sport and getting fit as well as reaching your goals

Tom brightonfit personal trainer

BRIGHTONFIT PERSONAL TRAINER

Hello I’m Tom and I am very proud to be part of this team. Although I have been a personal trainer for over a decade, working life didn’t start out that way; I studied Engineering at university and pursued a career here for a number of years. My light bulb moment was half way through a spin class at my gym realising I wanted to be the teacher at the front! Looking back it makes complete sense, I have always loved sport and lived in Australia with my wife for 8 years. The outdoor healthy lifestyle influenced my qualification and training choices. Health and wellness is core to my principles and I am passionate about sharing these with you and seeing the profound impact this can have.

Alongside more conventional personal training qualifications I am a qualified CHECK exercise coach, we look at the person as a whole and combine physical exercise and mind-body exercises. I use this training when working with all of my clients, as so often the habits and patterns formed need to be addressed from a whole person approach to be successful.

Martha Woollard

BRIGHTONFIT PERSONAL TRAINER

Hi I’m Martha it is my absolute pleasure to offer my personal training services to anyone who needs a little push and motivation and a lot of knowledge and confidence. Optimum physical health is very important to be and I would like to share with you my passion for fitness, nutrition and adventure. Something that fulfils all of these values to me is long distance cycling and I have cycled across many countries which I find challenging and exhilarating in equal measures. I am also a keen short and middle distance runner and love the community of the Parkrun events.

My sessions are totally flexible and focused on your needs, the thread of our training will focus on building a functional and strong, coordinated and flexible body. I try to keep things informal and relaxed, I know it’s pretty tough for you to be here and my goal is to make your journey as comfortable and rewarding as possible.

Personal training Brighton testimonials:

  • Personal training in Brighton with Brightonfit has been a very pleasant experience. I had really only been a cyclist before I began fitness training with them and within 12 months of training in the comfort of my own home I have completed a 10km run, comfortably squatted my own body weight and even become a fan of burpees! *

    Chris Wisdom, Business coach, Brighton
  • I began looking for a female personal trainer in Brighton and found Kirstin, after 18 months of personal training I reached my target weight loss of over 3 stone. I now maintain a healthy lifestyle and recently married my childhood sweetheart in a size 10 wedding dress! *

    Charlotte Harvey, PA, Brighton
  • I was working in an office, out of shape, and unhappy. A friend bought me some Brighton personal trainer sessions to get started with and I can honestly say it has been the best experience of my life. In fact I lost so much weight (3 stone) and became so fit in the 2 years of sessions that I changed my job and am now training to be a fully qualified nutritionalist. *

    Anna Jenkins, Nutritionalist, Brighton
  • As a fitness instructor in Brighton my time is so pressed, its hard to get time to find to put towards my own exercise. I decided to look for a personal trainer in Brighton and Hove and came across Brightonfit; what attracted me to them was their Strength coaches as Olympic lifting was something I had always wanted to learn. I am 9 months in and feel amazing! My lifting technique is improving all the time and I cannot recommend the Brighton personal trainers at Brightonfit enough! *
